Network password
The network security key is the password that must be entered if you wish to connect to a wireless network. Other terms used to describe a 'network security key' are:
- Password
- Password key
- WPA2 password
- WPA2 code
You will be required to enter a Network Security Password if you wish to connect a device, such as a PC, laptop or tablet, to your network. On a Windows PC, you will then see the screen illustrated below.
Will I always need a network password when using my Homeplug?
No, you will only be asked to enter a password when using Wi-Fi models, if you wish to connect a device to the Homeplug. Non-WiFi models will never ask you to enter a network security key.
Where can I find the network security key of my Wi-Fi Homeplug?
A Sitecom Wi-Fi Homeplug always uses its own network password. This means that you cannot use the password of your (modem) router to connect a device to your Wi-Fi Homeplug (unless you change the passwords so that they match).
You can find the network password of your Wi-Fi Homeplug in the info flyer supplied, or on the sticker you will find on the back of the product itself. In both cases, the password will be listed next to WPA2 code.
